Greenie: Greenie is a term used by missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unofficially in the archaic days of missionary service to describe the status of new missionaries to the mission field. Though it is considered a term of endearment, it as has an underlying insult to the minister who bears the title as a novice and therefore not as initiated or qualified as those without that status.
